Research suggests and supports that family members have the capacity to offer the greatest tangible and emotional support after release. However, complications with past experiences, unrealistic expectations and additional financial burdens can make reunification difficult. The OCRTF encourages you to reach out to the various links on this site. In addition, with your assistance the Onondaga County Re-entry Task Force (OCRTF) is looking forward to designing a family reunification process that will connect those we serve with various community partners. The OCRTF recognizes the need to reach out to those who can best address those barriers and offer support.
