Public Benefits
As noted in the 72 hour checklist applying for public benefits should be done within the first 72 hours. One of the goals of the Onondaga County Re-entry Task Force is to work closely with the Correctional Facilities in assuring that Medicaid, SSI and SSDI services paperwork is prepared and ready to implement upon release. Those returning to Onondaga County are encouraged to survey the DSS website as much has changed recently.
